What we take for Granted
So, being a teen in America, Ive noticed some things lately. None of us realize how much we truly have. In the republican south, these are the things commonly expected: Beautiful High School with the top teachers in the area. A nice car, at least a lexus if BMW is completely out of the question. Designer shoes, purses, jewelry. Small city government, led by all the richest people. Huge houses with columns, courtyards, pools, cabanas. I ,personally, live in the poorer area. And I am so very thankful for everything I have! How couldnt I? I have a great shcool, a warm, moderately sized house, wonderful friends and family, and plenty of food to go around. I am so very thankful for the cards fate has dealt me. So many of my peers complain, and it just drives me crazy. People in America are starving, living on the cold streets, and you're upset because your mother took your freakin IPHONE away from you?? My generation is so spoiled.
